Our students are spending a lot of time playing games. When given the opportunity, they are excited to put this energy to work in creating their own interactive projects and games. Game Design and Development help students learn computational reasoning, iterative design, problem solving, collaboration, and other 21st century skills. This presentation will provide an overview of tools that can be used with students in grades 3 through 8 (and beyond) to construct digital stories, projects and games. Tools and resources for the computer as well as handheld devices will be presented.
